Nursing and Critical Care Courses

Our courses fulfill continuing nursing education requirements in all 50 states.

Wild Iris Medical Education is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Washington State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

California
Wild Iris Medical Education (CBRN Provider #12300) is approved as a provider of continuing education for RNs, LVNs, and respiratory therapists by California Board of Registered Nursing.

Florida
Wild Iris Medical Education is approved as a provider of nursing continuing education by the Florida Department of Health, Division of Quality Assurance, Board of Nursing. Florida Board of Nursing Accreditation #NCE3403–31/October/08.

Respiratory Therapists

The following states accept courses approved by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, which is a division of the American Nurses Association (ANA). The following states accept any course approved by the ANCC that is appropriate to RT clinical practice.

  • Illinois
  • Louisiana
  • Maryland
  • Massachusetts
  • Tennessee
  • Texas (A maximum of 4 contact hours per year can be taken online)

Respiratory Regulations from Other States

  • Arkansas: Individual courses can be submitted for approval from the state board after completion. It is the responsibility of the individual RT to contact their state board for approval.
  • Nevada: Courses approved by the ANCC are considered appropriate for ABG (arterial blood gas) re-licensure. Courses must be related to the clinical practice of respiratory therapy.

Paramedics, EMTs, and First Responders

Courses are approved by the Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical Services and the California Emergency Medical Services Authority.

Nationwide
Wild Iris Medical Education is an approved provider (#0007) of continuing education by the Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS).

California
Wild Iris Medical Education is approved as a provider of continuing education for paramedics and EMTs in California (CA EMSA provider #49–0057).

Occupational Therapists and Assistants

Occupational therapy courses are approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and are accepted by the NBCOT Certificate Renewal program.

Wild Iris Medical Education is an AOTA-approved provider for continuing education (#3313). States that currently recognize AOTA approved providers either in regulatory language or by formal written communication to AOTA include:

Nationwide
Accreditation and approval of continuing education courses for physical therapists vary from state to state. Many states accept our courses. Please contact your state board or professional organization as to specific accreditation requirements.
